[Calclg-l] Governor's Historic Preservation Awards

The 2007 Governor's Historic Preservation Awards were presented at a
ceremony at the Leland Stanford Mansion in Sacramento on November 16.
Over half of the recipients were either Certified Local Governments or
were organizations located within a CLG.
Three Certified Local Governments were recipients:
* City of Campbell for Historic Design Guidelines for Residential
Buildings;
* City of Richmond for Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National
Historic Park; and
* City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department for Spreckels
Organ Pavilion Lighting Restoration.
Six other award recipients represented organizations located within CLGs
including:
* Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society for Living history
Historic Cemetery Tour;
* West Adams Heritage Association for "Evening Strolls" (located
within the City of Los Angeles);
* Western Neighborhoods Project for Restoration of 1906
Earthquake Refugee Shacks (located with the City and County of San
Francisco);
* Historic Houses Committee of the Stanford Historical Society
for Historic Houses Project of Faculty Houses on the Stanford University
Campus (located within the City of Palo Also);
* San Diego Padres for Western Metal Supply Company
Rehabilitation (located within City of San Diego); and
* Leland Stanford Mansion Foundation and California State Parks
for Leland Stanford Mansion Rehabilitation Project (located within the
City of Sacramento).
