The California Travel and Tourism Commission is sponsoring a three-day
event in Monterey, January 9-11, 2008, focusing upon the Preserve
America program and heritage tourism.  Registration information is

This is the 4th Symposium of the California Cultural & Heritage Tourism,
a consortium of state, local, and non-profit groups organized by Cal
Tourism.  On January 9th, there will be a first-ever gathering of
California communities that have been or are seeking to be designated
Preserve America communities.  There will be brief presentations by
older Preserve America communities as well as plenty of round-robin time
to discuss the benefits of this increasingly popular program.   The
attached file details costs and registration requirements for the
January 9 event.
