It appears that the attachment of the Recent Past Resource Guide got
stripped from the earlier email. Sorry.

Here is a link to it on OHP's website:

Subject: [Calclg-l] Recent Past Resource Guide

Jeanne Lambin of The National Trust has prepared a resource guide that
may be of interest to anyone dealing with resources of the recent past,
described as follows:

"Recent years have witnessed an astonishing increase in the number and
quality web sites and publications relating to the architecture of the
recent past, documenting everything from Howard Johnson's Restaurants
(http://www.hojoland.homestead.com/index.html) to drive-in movie
theaters (http://www.driveintheater.com/index.htm). This guide is by no
means exhaustive, rather it is intended to serve as a starting point for
those interested in understanding, documenting, surveying, evaluating,
preserving and pondering the recent past."

Note: Much of the information in the resource guide is available
online. This information would probably be very helpful to commissioners
as well.
