1. Welcome by the Honorable Rosanne Foust, Mayor of Redwood City
2. Presentation by Marie Nelson, Survey/CLG Coordinator, State
Office of Historic Preservation:
* The importance of historic preservation in community
development, sustainability, smart growth, and going green.
* The key role of Historic Contexts and surveys for local planning
and the relation with Historic/Conservation elements of the General
Plan
3. Presentation on the application and use of Historic Context
Statements by Planning Staff. Matt Weintraub, Historic Resources
Survey team, Planning Department, City of San Francisco.
4. Brief discussion on "Project and Design Review when Dealing with
Historic Resources" -- rules of thumb and tips -- panel discussion. Q&A.
*This workshop will qualify for Certified Local Government(CLG)training
credits.
