[Calclg-l] Application Fee's

Currently the City of San Diego does not charge for this service if the property owner comes forward voluntarily to have their building designated. We are proposing to charge a fee of $1185, which we think is the actual staff cost for this work. If a property is taken forward for historical designation through the permit review process (i.e. the owner requests a permit for demolition or substantial alteration of a potential historical resource) we charge our hourly rate to the permit.

This question came up recently. What do other jurisdictions charge for the review and staff time for an individual property to be reviewed and placed on the historic inventory?
