The County of San Diego does not at this time charge for historic
designation; however, if they are applying for the Mills act at the same
time, there is a $420 fee.  However, I believe that the County is going to
increase that fee for a deposit account so that if we charge more than the
$420, we can ask for more money.

This question came up recently. What do other jurisdictions charge for the
review and staff time for an individual property to be reviewed and placed on
the historic inventory?
