LEED v3 has just been released for public review and comment. The LEED
documents for review can be found at
http://www.usgbc.org/DisplayPage.aspx?CMSPageID=1849 . The public
comment review period ends Sunday June 22nd.

LEED is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. This latest
revision to their certification program reflects some of the input
received from the Preservation Sustainability Coalition of which the
Office of Historic Preservation is a part. The changes made should be
more favorable towards preservation.

For additional information regarding the changes to LEED, USGBC will be
hosting a series of LEED 2009 Webinars. The first two Webinars will
begin on Thursday, May 22 2008 at 11 AM - 12 PM EST and 1 - 2 PM EST.

Hosted by Scot Horst, Chair of the LEED Steering Committee, attendees
will view the proposed changes to the LEED system; walk through the
public comment process and be able to ask questions. Find additional
information and log on instructions at:
https://www.usgbc.org/ShowFile.aspx?DocumentID=4129 .
