Dear Forum members,

 

We are interested in getting feedback on how local preservation
offices
(city/county governmental agencies) fit into the organizational
operations of local governments.  We are specifically interested in
info
relating to whether these offices are a separate division on equal
standing with others such as planning, community development,
engineering, building inspection, etc. and if they operate under a
larger "umbrella" department such as Department of Housing and
Planning.
Sample organizational charts with a brief explanation would be greatly
appreciated.
